Covectra, a Westborough supply chain management technology company, has launched a mobile telehealth service to help with remote medication management.
ControlTrack, the new product, is meant to connect providers, patients, pharmacies and others — a need Covectra said is especially important when the coronavirus pandemic has required social distancing. ControlTrack can closely monitor prescription dosing, with multiple health providers able to access the same patient's reports and analytics.
ControlTrack includes multiple portals: ControlTrack Patient, which uses a mobile app to enable any patient to receive virtual treatment from providers; ControlTrack Provider, which allows for sending messages directory to patients' smartphones; and ControlTrack Pharmacy, which allows pharmacists to link specific medications to specific patients, with open-source software allowing integration into various healthcare systems.
More broadly, Covectra offers serialization, track-and-trace, and authentication technology for supply chains. The firm says it has more than 3 billion serial numbers issued worldwide in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, luxury goods, and tobacco industries.
