An affiliate of Mark’s Moving and Storage, Inc., a Westborough-based company, has purchased the Greater Boston franchise of Smartbox, a portable storage company.
The franchise was purchased by Portable Storage of Massachusetts.
Mark’s Moving, which was founded in 1979, has a 90,000 square-foot facility with six loading docks and rail access in Westborough. It also has a total of more than 150,000 square feet of storage space and more than 25 trucks and trailers.
Smartbox was founded in 2003 and allows customers to pack an 8-by-7-by-5-foot wooden box to store or move contents.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
