An entity registered to the developer of the Walker Lofts on Water Street in Worcester purchased 153 Green St. in Worcester’s Canal District for $734,000 on Thursday, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The seller was Boston Capital Development, which purchased and is redeveloping the four-acre former Table Talk Pies site in Worcester’s Kelley Square. Boston Capital proposed an adaptive reuse project at 153 Green, which is a portion of the former Table Talk Pies Factory.
Boston Capital is building a 83-unit workforce housing building at the site and is planning a mixed-use building with 375 market-rate apartments in partnership with North Carolina-based developer Quarterra Multifamily Communities LLC. In the sale of 153 Green St., Boston Capital was represented by Michael Jacobs, principal at Worcester real estate firm NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs.
The buyer was 153 Green Street LLC, registered to attorney and developer Anthony Rossi.
Rossi completed the 62-apartment Walker Lofts at 28 Water St. in early 2022. He has other projects in the pipeline including a conversion of a factory into apartments at 33 Hermon St. in Worcester, a conversion of an office building into a 108-unit apartment building at 13 Sudbury St., and a 251-apartment mixed-use building proposed at 8 Harvard St. in Worcester.
