Anthony Rossi, the Boston-area developer who opened a 62-unit apartment complex in Worcester earlier in March, has submitted a proposal for a six-story mixed-use building including 251 units and commercial space.
Rossi’s proposal to the Worcester Planning Board includes a 52,195-square-foot building at 8 Harvard St., about a block west of Main Street.
The proposed building will have 251 one- and two-bedroom units, none of which will be affordable, according to Rossi’s application.
There will also be roughly 4,000 square feet on the ground level of the building reserved for restaurant and retail space, along with a 185-space parking garage.
The site at 8 Harvard St. is currently a parking lot, so the proposed building would be a new construction project. Rossi bought the 8 Harvard St. property, along with two other parcels including an abutting office building on Sudbury Street, for $3 million in October.
Rossi has been an increasingly aggressive developer in Worcester. He opened his 62-unit Walk Lofts at the redeveloped Walker Shoe Factory on Water Street in March, and has 165 units planned along Sudbury and Hermon Streets.
The Planning Board will hear Rossi's proposal at its meeting on April 6.
