Framingham-based discount retailer the TJX Cos. Inc. increased its sales 12 percent to $1.6 billion in February compared with the same month last year.
Consolidated comparable store sales rose 9 percent.
The company said last month’s mild weather helped boost sales of spring clothing. It also said business was up in all its divisions, and its inventories are positioned for more good results in coming months.
TJX operates T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGood stores in the U.S., as well as other brands in Canada and Europe.
