ThermoEnergy Seeks European Market
Worcester-based wastewater technology company ThermoEnergy Corp. is joining with an Irish company to sell systems for the recovery of aircraft de-icing fluids in Europe.
ThermoEnergy said that, together with Envirogen Ireland Ltd., it is pursuing more than 100 opportunities at airports in Europe. The airports are responding to European restrictions on storm water pollution, along with European Union incentives for the cleanup of products used to remove ice from airplanes.
TheroEnergy says its Aircraft Deicing Fluids Recovery Systems recover and concentrate propylene glycol from the fluids, which are sprayed on planes in winter weather.
