Leominster-based Beacon MedTech Solutions has appointed Phil Littlefield as its next director of operations.
Littlefield, who formerly was plant manager at New Jersey-based Sunny Delight Beverages and Franklin-based Garelick Farms, was appointed to help the firm meet evolving customer needs and to increase productivity at Beacon MedTech’s manufacturing facility, according to a Tuesday press release from the firm.
“I am excited to join a contract manufacturing organization with such unparalleled experience, capabilities and facilities," Littlefield said in the press release. “The Beacon MedTech team is incredibly smart and talented, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with these individuals to deliver vertically integrated solutions to companies in need of technology-forward manufacturing solutions.”
Littlefield has more than 15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. His most recent role was senior vice president of operations & engineering and general manager at New Hampshire manufacturer J-Pac Medical, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In his new role, he will help Beacon MedTech diversify and grow to meet the needs of companies in the life sciences, health care, aerospace, and defense industries. Littlefield is replacing former director of operations Richard Landry in the role, who is no longer with the company.
Beacon MedTech Solutions is a contract manufacturer specializing in thermoplastic, liquid silicone rubber, and thermoset components mainly utilized by the life science, healthcare, and defense industries. The company named Jim Colony as its first president in December 2023.
