Staples declares Q3 dividend
The board of directors for Framingham-based office supply retailer Staples Inc. on Tuesday announced a quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share.
Payable on Oct. 16 to shareholders of record on Sept. 26, the dividend is unchanged from the 12-cent quarterly dividend announced a year ago.
Staples,which is in the process of closing 140 stores while expanding online shopping options, saw a 2-percent decline in sales in the second quarter, according to an earnings report released last month, but the company beat analysts’ expectations by two cents, posting earnings of 13 cents per share.
