Rakks, a shelving store in Needham, will take over the former R.G. Shakour furniture and equipment store on Route 9 in Westborough.
Rakks’ owners bought the Westborough site in a previously reported $3.8-million deal closed Jan. 19. Rakks, a design company making indoor shelves, will move to the location at 254 Turnpike Road, according to Greater Boston Commercial Properties, which represented the sellers, Jon and Viola Shakour.
Rakks got its start in 1972 and has been located in Medford, Waltham, Millis, and Needham. It’ll replace R.G. Shakour, a salon and spa furniture and equipment store closed in 2017.
