Quarterly Profits, Sales Up For Waters Corp.

Milford-based Waters Corp. reported that its second-quarter profits increased year-over-year by 17.8 percent to nearly $100.1 million.
The increase in profitability was driven largely by an increase in sales, which jumped by 14 percent to $448 million. Foreign currency translation contributed 6 percent to sales growth, according to the company.
Six month results were similarly robust. Profits were up 21 percent while sales were up 15 percent.
Waters Corp. makes laboratory equipment and tools.
