Price Chopper Issues Recall Of Stuffed Clams

Price Chopper Supermarkets, which has several stores in Central Massachusetts, has issued a voluntary recall of Gourmet Stuffed Clams from its seafood departments, the Schenectady, N.Y.-based company announced.

The product is being recalled because it contains milk, wheat and eggs, which Price Chopper says are known allergens and not listed on the store-generated label of ingredients. Other than the labeling issue, Price Chopper says the product is safe for consumption for those who are not allergic to the known allergens. The stuffed clams were sold in Price Chopper stores between Oct. 1 and Dec. 23 of last year. They bear a scale code of 20918100000.
