Westborough-based Central One Federal Credit Union presented a check for $1,000 to Westborough Youth and Family Services to help fund its Hot Summer Nights program for Westborough kids in grades six through 10. Spencer Savings Bank donated the first half of a $10,000 two-year pledge to the Quaboag Valley Community Development Corp. for business assistance programs. West Springfield-based United Bank, which has locations in Worcester, helped raise funds for the American Cancer Society with its Daffodil Days event, offering bunches of daffodils to donors. Last year the bank raised more than $5,000 to support the cancer society.
