BANKING ON BOOKS

MutualOne Bank of Framingham gave a $5,000 grant to Operation Outreach-USA, to support literacy skills at Barbieri Elementary School in Framingham. SENIOR SUPPORT

OF NOTE

Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union donated $25,000 to Shrewsbury Public Library's building expansion fund.

Marlborough Savings Bank gave the Gen. John Nixon School in Sudbury $500 toward its Educational Enrichment Fund, part of a group of awards the bank gave to local schools.

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care - which has an office in Worcester - completed a volunteer service day at Tatnuck Magnet School in the city.

Projects included the painting of murals and building of raised garden boxes.
