Otis scores Mets stadium deal
Farmington-based Otis Elevator has won a $5 million contract to install energy efficient and environmentally friendly elevators at Citi Field ballpark, the future home of the New York Mets. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2009. The elevators, called Gen2, need no machine rooms, require no pollutive lubrication and use half the energy of conventional geared elevators.
