Northborough-based Boost Fitness announced that it has purchased Impact Fitness clubs in Worcester and Auburn.
The facilities, at 489 Washington St. in Auburn and 40 Millbrook St. in Worcester, will be converted into the Boost brand and will bring the company's total to five sites. Impact's 3,500 memberships will be transferred to Boost. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The clubs will remain open during renovation and Boost said it will retain most of the nearly 40 employees at the two locations.
The 20,000-square-foot Worcester facility and the 15,000-square-foot Auburn facility will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, like other Boost clubs. They'll continue to offer group and individual training.
