The North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation (NCMDC) has received a $75,000 grant from the Massachusetts Office of Business Development to assist with economic development initiatives in the area, the NCMDC announced today.
Among the objectives the NCMDC hopes to achieve with the grant are: highlighting the region as one that encourages business and industrial development; increasing the awareness of the region's manufacturing industry; and working with regional partners to develop training programs designed to meet the needs of manufacturers.
The funding is part of the Regional Economic Development Organization program. It represents a partnership between economic development organizations across the commonwealth and the Office of Business Development to create a business development plan that supports regionally-based efforts to help existing businesses grow and attract new business.
