VP Auto Repair and Mechanical of Leominster will receive a $50,000 loan for improvements and equipment, approved by the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. which is the economic development arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce in Fitchburg.
The auto shop is owned by Victor Perez and will use the funding to purchase two vehicle lifts, a hydraulic bender station, a truck diagnostic kit and to install an epoxy floor.
“As a small business owner in Leominster looking to grow my business, the funding from the
North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. will go a long way toward achieving my
goals,” said Perez in a Tuesday press release.
North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. is a microloan lender, able to provide loans to small businesses for up to $250,000 for working capital, real estate, equipment, inventory and expansion. It works with banking partners to provide gap financing for the final piece of a project.
The nonprofit is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury under the Community Development Financial Institutions Program.
