No Deal Yet, St. V's Hospital Strike Still On

Despite holding negotiations on Sunday and Monday night, there is no deal between Saint Vincent Hospital and the Massachusetts Nurses Association, which means a one-day strike by the hospital's nurses is still set for Friday.
The MNA rejected St. Vincent's latest offer, according to a statement from Teri Hegarty, hospital spokesperson.
Negotiations are scheduled to continue Wednesday.
Temporary nurses will begin arriving this week at the hospital in an effort to deliver uninterrupted care to patients if Friday's strike does happen, hospital officials said.
