Net Zero Energy For Milford Co.
Kitchen appliance company Clarke Corp. says it will produce as much energy as it uses at its Milford headquarters by the end of the summer.
Clarke has been working for the past decade to use solar roof panels to power the 106,500-square-foot location, which houses offices, an appliance showroom, a culinary center, a television studio and a warehouse. The company said the building is particularly well suited to solar because it has a large roof with little tree cover and is located on a hill.
Beaumont Solar Co. of New Bedford handled the installation.
Clarke, which also has a location in Connecticut, sells kitchen appliances across New England.
