Nash Brings Vision To Cognex
Natick machine vision systems maker Cognex Corp. has appointed Tom Nash as president of its surface inspection systems division.
The division develops turnkey vision systems to inspect the surfaces of materials manufactured in a continuous process. Nash replaces Markku Jaaskelainen, who has moved to a new position building a team to develop and market a new PC-based vision system.
Both Nash and Jaaskelainen will report to Robert J. Shillman, chairman and CEO of Congnex.
Nash previously served as vice president of operations and marketing for BTU international, a thermal processing and automation system for the electronic, semiconductor and solar equipment markets. He has a bachelor's degree from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College.
