Crumbl Cookies, the Utah-based dessert franchise known for its jumbo treats with a cult following, will open a Shrewsbury location on Friday.
Located at 50 Boston Turnpike., the brand will offer its weekly rotating menu of six cookies and mini cakes and pies for pick-up, delivery, and catering.
Patrons who shop at the store in its first week can select from the brand’s current national flavor list including chocolate crumb OREO, semi-sweet chocolate chunk, sea salter toffee, brownie batter, and peanut butter Snickers cookies, in addition to lemon blueberry cheesecake, churro cake, and strawberry pretzel pie.
With more than 1,000 locations across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, the brand’s new Shrewsbury location marks its third Central Massachusetts shop in addition to its locations in Millbury and Hudson, according to Crumbl’s website.
Crumbl’s Shrewsbury location will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and closed on Sundays.
Opened in 2017, Crumbl was founded by cousins Sawyer Hemsley and Jason McGowan, with their first shop offering just their chocolate chip cookies on the menu. Since then, the Crumbl brand has grown into nothing short of an internet sensation, boasting 6.1 million followers on Instagram and 9.7 million on TikTok. Garnering hundreds of thousands of views, influencers across social media platforms can be seen posting weekly videos, opening the brand’s signature pink boxes and taste-testing its current dessert offerings.
Expanding beyond the edible category, in December, Crumbl launched a Walmart-exclusive, limited-edition body care line in partnership with international skin care company Dove. The launch includes body and hand wash, moisturizer, deodorant, and body scrub options in scents strawberry crumb cake, Crumbl confetti cake and lemon glaze.
