Weston Nurseries of Hopkinton has hired two new managers, RENE FONTAINE and MELISSA OOTHOUT. Fontaine will serve as commercial sales manager. Oothout joined the company as annuals sales supervisor after nine years at Lexington Gardens.
The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. of Worcester has appointed JOHN REILLEY, previously of The Hartford Financial Services Group, as vice president of corporate finance and treasurer. At The Hartford, Reilly held senior-level positions in investor relations, finance and business development. Reilly replaces Bob Myron, who has taken on new responsibilities, and will report to Myron.
Bay State Savings Bank of Worcester has hired three new assistant vice presidents, ALMA D. MOREY, PETER P. ROVEZZI and LISA M. DUQUETTE. Morey was appointed assistant VP and branch manager of the bank’s location at 123 Auburn St. in Auburn. Rovezzi was named assistant VP and branch manager of Bay State’s newest branch at 2 Eastern Ave. in Worcester. Duquette was chosen as assistant VP of operations at Bay State’s Franklin Street headquarters.
URSULA BURNS and KRISTINA JOHNSON have resigned from Natick-based Boston Scientific Corp.’s board of directors after Burns was named CEO of Xerox and Johnson was confirmed as undersecretary in the U.S. Department of Energy.
Milford Federal Savings & Loan Association has added PAUL J. MALNATI, senior vice president of real estate and investment at Trans National Group in Boston, to its board of directors. Malnati is active in the Boston real estate community, serving as a member of the city’s strategic development study committee.
The Greater Worcester Community Foundation has elected THOMAS J. BARTHOLOMEW, president of Worcester financial services company Bartholomew & Co., to its board of directors for a second four-year term. Bartholomew will also serve as treasurer of the board and will continue his roles as chairman of the investment committee and as a corporator.
Nichols College of Dudley has hired LAURA M. YAHN as director of online programs at its graduate and professional studies office. In her new position, she will help faculty develop strategies and skills to teach online courses.
The R.H. White Construction Co. of Auburn has hired SCOTT K. CONOVER as business development manager. Conover has more than 25 years of experience in sales and business development in the construction industry.
Holden luxury home construction company Woodmeister Master Builders has hired JEFFREY D. WEINER of Westborough as director of sales and marketing. In his new position, Weiner will develop and implement new marketing strategies, sales processes and business development initiatives.
The Zeytoonian Center for Dispute Resolution, based in Wellesley Hills and Westborough, has hired psychologist and communications expert CATHY HEENAN. In her new position, Heenan will help family law and business clients resolve their disputes without litigation, together with the center’s attorneys and other professionals.
Fallon Clinic has appointed three new members to its board of trustees: ROBERT V. ANTONUCCI, president of Fitchburg State College; President DIANE L. LECLAIR, senior vice president of accounting firm Greenberg, Rosenblatt, Kull and Bitsoli PC; and SUSAN M. MAIL-MAN, owner and president of Coghlin Electrical Contractors Inc. & Coghlin Network Services Inc.
DANIEL ASQUINO, president of Mount Wachusett Community College, has been elected chairman of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Asquino replaces PATRICK MULDOON, president and CEO of Leominster-based Health Alliance Hospitals. JAMES ROUSE, president of Micron Products Inc. became vice chairman, and MARTIN CONNORS, president and CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust was named treasurer. Several new board members were also chosen for three-year terms: J. PAUL GAUVIN, president of Henri Enterprises Inc.; REINALDO LOPEZ, president of Resource Management Inc.; WARD MCLAUGHLIN of Boutwell Owens & Co. and JAMES REGER, president of P.J. Keating Inc.
BARRY QUINLAN, director of operations for the Littleton test facility of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, has been elected to the executive council of the Telecommunication Certification Body Council. Quinlan has been working in the compliance industry since he began a stint at the British Standards Institution in 1982. He joined the Littleton laboratory in 2000.
