HOLLY CHAFFEE is the new president and CEO of VNA Care, a subsidiary of Atrius Health. Chaffee, a registered nurse, has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and was most recently the president and CEO of Porchlight VNA/Home Care in Chicopee. She is also the president of the board of the Lee Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce. Chaffee replaces MARY ANN O'CONNOR, who retired after a 45-year career.
The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts has appointed new members to its board of directors. SEJAL M. DAGA is a pediatrician at Medical Associates Pediatrics in Leominster, and MARY M. LEE is physician-in-chief of the UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center and chair of the UMass Medical School's pediatrics department. FRANCIS M. SABA, the former Milford Regional Medical Center president and CEO, was elected the board's chairman. The foundation has two new community members serving on committees. KEVIN GROZIO, the senior vice president and chief financial officer at Fallon Health, was elected to a three-year term on the foundation's investment committee. SHEILAH H. DOOLEY, the executive director of Pernet Family Health Service, was elected to a three-year term on the nominating committee.
NICK HARITOS is the new executive vice president of sales and distribution for AIS, a Leominster manufacturer of commercial office furniture and seating. Haritos' three-decade career in management and business development includes more than 25 years in contract furniture. He has a bachelor from Plymouth State University and a master from Saint Michael's College in Vermont.
MIRIAM SIEGEL is the new senior vice president of human resources at Country Bank. Siegel, who has been in financial services for 26 years, including 21 years at United Bank, has a bachelor in business from the State University of New York at Albany.
AL ROSE, the owner and operator of Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, is the new chairman of the Johnny Appleseed Trail Association's board of directors. Rose is the fourth-generation owner of the farm, which was established in 1912. He and his wife, Nancy, took over the business in 2001 and have since added retail locations at Wachusett Mountain and at the Boston Public Market.
ANTHONY J. SALVIDIO, a director at the Worcester law firm Fletcher Tilton, has been elected to the board of the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, a nonprofit conducting independent research and analysis on policy issues in the region. Salvidio is chairman of Fletcher Tilton's commercial lending department and serves on the board of directors for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
DAVID FRIEND, JANET RICO and PETER STRALEY are new members of the Fallon Health board of directors. Friend is the co-founder of The BDO Center for Health Care Excellence & Innovation and serves as managing director and chief transformation officer. Rico is the assistant dean of graduate nursing programs at Northeastern University and a nurse practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital. Straley is the former president and CEO of Health New England, a provider-owned HMO in Springfield and has 40 years of professional experience in health care.
MAUREEN K. HUFFAM of Milford is the new senior vice president and director of human resources and training at UniBank. Huffam, who has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, has a bachelor in consumer economics from UMass Amherst.
LISA PRINCE is the new executive director and CEO of Tri-Valley Inc., a Dudley nonprofit serving the elderly and disabled. Prince, who joined Tri-Valley as an adult family care case manager nearly 20 years ago, has a master in nonprofit management from Worcester State University. She succeeds MARILYN L. TRAVINSKI, who retired at the end of January after 25 years as the agency's leader. Travinski, who has a master from Wesleyan University, previously served eight years as a state representative.
RICHARD S. CHENEY is the new regional director of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center at Clark University. Cheney, who has an MBA from the University of Connecticut, recently served as the director of operations of the Graduate School of Business at Bryant University and as associate director of Continuing Education and Community Engagement at Central Connecticut State University.
GARY E. BAXTER is the new chief information officer at UniBank, where he is responsible for strategic leadership for information systems and services. He has a bachelor from Central Connecticut State University and has more than 40 years of experience in information technology.
PATRICK ROYCE is a new business lending officer at Webster Five Cents Savings Bank. Royce rejoins Webster Five, where he first began in 2007 as a branch manager in Shrewsbury. He has a bachelor in business administration from Worcester State University and an MBA from Framingham State University.
ERNEST F. HOULE, KELLI J. ROONEY and FRANK J. ZANGHI JR. are new supervisory board members for IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg. Houle, of Leominster, is the superintendent-director of the Assabet Regional Vocational School District in Marlborough and has a master in educational leadership and management from Fitchburg State University. Rooney, of Leominister, is the director of marketing and communications for UMass Memorial HealthAlliance - Clinton Hospital, and has a bachelor in communications from Framingham State University and a master in applied communication studies from Fitchburg State University. Zanghi is the president and owner of Incase Inc., a provider of customized packaging, fulfillment services and distribution, and has a bachelor in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Western New England University.
MICHAEL LITZENBERGER is the new vice president and business development officer at the Milford National Bank and Trust Company. Litzenberger was previously a business banking relationship manager for Santander Bank in Boston.
ALISON SHILINSKY of Millbury is the new chair of the Central Massachusetts regional board of directors for Easter Seals Massachusetts, a disability service provider based in Worcester. Shilinsky has a bachelor in English and communications from Assumption College and is a senior vice president of human resources at a law firm in Andover.
NINA T. DOW has joined the Worcester law firm Mountain, Dearborn & Whiting. Dow, who previously had a solo practice, specializes in estate and tax planning, wills and trusts, probate and trust administration, and income tax returns. She has a law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
MARK PHILLIPS, of Worcester, has been promoted to first vice president of internal audit at Country Bank of Ware. Phillips has a bachelor in accounting and an MBA from Nichols College.
KATHLEEN J. SAVAGE MILLS is the new director of research and innovation at Perkins, a developmental service agency in Lancaster. Mills has more than 20 years of experience in child welfare, domestic violence and early-childhood mental health. She earned her Ph.D. from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
KEVIN ANDERSON has joined Reliant Medical Group's department of internal medicine. Anderson, who completed his residency and internship at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, is accepting new patients at Reliant's offices at 425 Lake Avenue North in Worcester.
CHRISTINE LENS is the new director of Seven Hills Foundation's Massachusetts Care Coordination Network, which will provide healthcare services to 4,500 people through MassHealth beginning June 1. Lens, a nurse practitioner, was previously the regional clinical manager at the New England Quality Care Alliance and has 35 years of nursing experience.
