MetroWest Chamber Reaches Out To College Students

The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce is looking to get college students involved in the organization as a way to grow its membership and give students entering the workforce opportunities to make connections.

Beginning this fall, 10 Framingham State University students will become members of the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce at a discounted membership rate. The chamber has arranged some sponsors for the program in an effort to have students join the chamber for free.

Students will also have a business "coach" who will help students during networking events and in meeting other chamber members.

Jim Giammarinaro, chair of membership for the chamber and a partner at Freedom Digital Printing in Ashland, said he's hoping to expand the program beyond just Framingham State to other colleges in the region as well.
