Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. The transition from front office manager to general manager has gone smoothly. The team here at the hotel is great and made my transition into this new position a very easy one.

Q. What's your favorite thing about Central Massachusetts?
A. Worcester reminds me of a mini-Boston. There are many different activities do, like going to the Old Sturbridge Village, the Ecotarium, shopping, dining, etc.

Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. Not close at all. I knew I wanted to have a career in computers, but when I first took the guest services position in 2003, I fell in love and new that I wanted to do whatever possible to succeed with the company. It has been a lot of hard work but well worth it.

Q. How far is your commute to the office?
A. My commute is about 20 minutes. It is a great ride in the fall when all the foliage is changing. Then in the winter to see all the snow on the trees is beautiful.

Q. What's the best way to keep your energy and motivation up when you're having a long day?
A. It Is to keep reminding myself of all my personal goals that I have set as well as the goals that I have set out for the hotel.

Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. I like to go to Linguine's Italian restaurant for a grilled chicken Greek salad. Their dressing is to die for!

Q. Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A. My family is my first priority. I love spending time with them. Any time that I have off, I am usually spending it with them, whether it be at softball games, dance competitions or enjoying a nice day at the park.

Q. What's on your to-do list for the next couple of days?
A. I will be going on sales calls with the director of sales to meet and greet our corporate companies in the area.
