Meet the 2011 40 Under Forty Winners

The Worcester Business Journal is honored to bring you the 40 Under Forty Class of 2011. Through the links below, you'll meet the young leaders who are shaking up the Central Massachusetts business community and leading us into the future.

This year's impressive crop of honorees joins a storied group. The Worcester Business Journal has been identifying 40 business leaders under the age of 40 since the year 2000.

And every year, the caliber of the award winners continues to impress. Perusing their profiles, you'll learn that the winners come from a varied set of industries including high-tech, banking, insurance, health care and retail. Some have climbed the corporate ladder, while others have left the traditional business world to chart their own courses as entrepreneurs.

While each honoree is special and has a unique story to tell, they all share a passion and energy for the local business community as well as a desire to give back. We know you'll find their stories both engaging and inspiring.

This year's honorees were selected after a months-long call for nominations.

We received more than 100 nominations and then turned to our panel of judges - Bonnie Biocchi of the MetroWest Chamber, Charley Polachi of Polachi Access Executive Search, Corey Adams of Robert Half International and Nicole Curtin of Workers' Credit Union - for their feedback.

Each nomination was evaluated based not only on the individual's career trajectory, but also on his or her commitment to the local community.

We'd also like to thank Tammy Woodard and Erika Sidor, who worked in collaboration to take the stunning portraits of the honorees that are featured in this special edition. And finally, congratulations to the WBJ's 40 Under Forty Class of 2011!
