Mass. Personal Income Grows 1.4% In Q2

Massachusetts ranked 12th in the nation for personal income growth in the second quarter of 2011, with a 1.4 percent seasonally adjusted growth rate, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

That compares to a national average of 1.1 percent.
Both state and national growth slowed from the first quarter, when the state growth rate was 1.9 percent and the national was 2.1 percent.

The largest growth in personal income was in Nebraska, with a 2.2 percent increase, followed closely by South Dakota and North Dakota. The slowest was in Washington at 0.7 percent, followed by Georgia and New York.
