Massachusetts gasoline prices are up three cents per gallon this week, according to a Monday report from AAA Northeast.

The average price for self-serve, regular unleaded gas in Mass. averaged $2.06 per gallon, per a AAA survey on Monday.

That figure is 11 cents below the national average, which is $2.17, and 58 cents lower than the average Massachusetts gas price from one year prior, per the report.

Part of the reason gas prices are going up, according to AAA, is because of travel projections related to the upcoming July 4 holiday, when people are expected to drive to their long weekend destinations.
