Manufacturing services provider Web Industries of Marlborough has acquired a Vermont company, CAD Cut Inc., another manufacturing services provider for three industries, Web Industries announced.
Under the deal, announced Thursday, Web Industries has purchased all of CAD Cut's assets, including the company name, and will continue to operate its facilities in Middlesex, Vt., and Denton, Texas.
Web Industries said the acquisition will especially help in serving the aerospace industry, where both companies have a strong presence. Web also provides services to the medical and industrial fabrics markets, while CAD Cut serves the defense and medical device industries, among others, according to Web.
"We were attracted to CAD Cut because they're the best at what they do, and what they do is a natural extension of what we're best at doing," said Donald Romine, president and CEO of Web Industries.
