Two small businesses from Central Massachusetts recently received funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help keep air and drinking water clean.
Aspen Products Group Inc. of Marlborough received a $295,000 award to help it develop a system to reduce air pollution from commercial kitchens.
Reactive Innovations LLC of Littleton received $79,994 for its development of a new technology to improve drinking water disinfection systems used in small communities.
The companies are among 10 across the country that shared a total of $2.25 million in EPA Small Business Innovation Research awards.
