Life Sciences Center Comes To Worcester

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center will hold an information session in Worcester about its Small Business Matching Grant Program Thursday, Jan. 13.

The session starts at 9 a.m. at the Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI) offices, located within Gateway Park at 60 Prescott St.

Brad Rosenblum, CFO of the Life Sciences Center, will be on hand to answer questions about the program, which targets supporting life sciences firms with commercialization-ready technologies that have already received funding from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation or the Department of Defense. A total of $3 million is expected to be distributed through the program in fiscal year 2011.

The 10-year, $10-billion Massachusetts Life Sciences Center was created in June 2006 by an act of the Legislature. Its mission is to support growth within the state's life sciences industry.
