Milford businessman Kevin Meehan continues to have an active role in real estate transactions along I-495, this time acquiring a 90,000-square-foot office building in Milford for $5 million.
Real estate records show Meehan, via Jason LLC, purchased the two-story office building at 9 Industrial Road, closing on the sale Friday. The seller was Beverly investment firm Brookwood Financial Partners, which is led by CEO Thomas Nicholas Trkla and has more than 200 properties and $1.3 billion in assets under management.
According to a property flyer, more than 50,000 square feet of space is available to lease in the building.
The sale was actually less than what Brookwood paid for the property in 2011 and the town's assessed value of $5.7 million and about $5.3 million, respectively.
Meehan is best known for his Imperial Cars dealership, based in Mendon with a Hyundai dealership in Milford.
An active businessman in the area, he has made several notable real estate transactions in Milford and Mendon of late, including purchasing the site of an approved housing development and the former site of a proposed Milford casino for $3.4 million in July.
In June, Meehan sold the Grand View wedding and event venue in Mendon for $4.1 million and in December purchased an eight-acre property featuring a driving range and restaurant in Mendon for $1.3 million.
