The Marlborough Economic Development Corp. is seeking local residents, business leaders and professionals to help design the city's Economic Development Master Plan.
MEDC, with the help of consultant FXM Associates, plans to conduct 13 focus groups on April 13 and 14.
Each group will consist of 15 or 20 people with expertise in a particular field: elected officials; bankers, realtors, developers and lawyers; educators, youth services and social services; commercial property owners and managers; sports, tourism, hotel and restaurant operators; high tech and life science companies; urban core property and business owners; retail owners, chamber of commerce officials and civic associations; industrial business owners and managers; housing developers, owners and Community Development Association; doctors, nurses, EMTs, hospitals and rehab and nursing facilities; city officials; and east side businesses, property owners and residents.
The focus groups will be held at the Massachusetts International Academy.
The next opportunity for public input into the planning process will be a public forum on May 29.
