Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a Worcester nursing home, is adding inpatient dialysis services to its offerings.
Adding dialysis at the inpatient center will better integrate healthcare for post-acute patients, according to a Sept. 20 press release from the provider. Skilled nursing and rehabilitation services will be available at the same location.
Called a dialysis den, the in-home service requires special approvals from the Mass. Division of Health Care Facility Licensure and Certification. The den at Saint Francis will be the first in Central Massachusetts, according to the press release. It will be located at 101 Plantation St.
The center will host an open house to showcase the new offering on Oct. 10.
“We are thrilled to introduce Central Massachusetts to a new era of care with our Dialysis Den Open House," Pamela Welch, director of nursing at Saint Francis, said in the press release. "Our commitment to compassionate and collaborative healthcare comes to life through this revolutionary concept.”
