House tees up spending bill

On the first week of fall, legislative leaders are ready to roll out a spending bill tying up the significant unfinished fiscal business of the fiscal year that ended June 30.
The House Ways and Means Committee on Thursday morning began polling a bill (H 4517) to close the books on the 2016 fiscal year. Members have until 11:45 a.m. to vote on the bill.
