Hanover Insurance Goes West
The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. of Worcester has reached an agreement with a San Diego-based company to expand its operations in the western U.S.
The partnership with ICW Group will let Hanover expand its surety business in states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
Through the arrangement, the property and casualty insurance carrier has hired 20 ICW surety underwriters and field support staff. It said it expects to write as much as $15 million in ICW Group contract surety business initially.
