On Monday, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.21, down from $3.26 a month ago, according to data from the travel association AAA.
Statewide, prices fell 4 cents over the past month to $3.25.
Nationwide, prices climbed more than 7 cents to $3.44 over the same time period.
“We may be seeing a return to seasonal trends in demand with warmer weather and longer days,” AAA Northeast Vice President of Public and Government Affairs Mary Maguire said in the press release. "But waffling oil prices could mitigate any increase at the pump for now."
