Grant Returns Internships To Worcester Court

A $53,319 grant from the Massachusetts Bar Foundation will double the size and duration of Worcester's Supreme Judicial Court's Judicial Youth Corps program this summer.

With the grant, the program will grow from 10 to 20 high school students and from seven to 14 weeks. The program aims to give students an in-depth understanding of the justice system while providing them with summer jobs.

After a long hiatus, the program returned to Worcester last summer thanks to a $21,750 fellows grant from the MBF, the philanthropic arm of the Massachusetts Bar Association . The program was founded in 1991 by the Judicial Court's Public Information Office.
