Grad's Foundation Donates $250K To Becker

Worcester-based Becker College has received a $250,000 grant from a foundation led by a school graduate for improvements to its Leicester campus.

The Allerton Foundation of Philadelphia, which claims 1981 Becker graduate Diane A. Lenfest among its trustees, awarded the grant. Becker will use the money for renovations to two animal science laboratories at the Borger Academic Center at the school's Leicester campus.

In 1997, Becker named its Lenfest Animal Health Center, a clinic open to the public, in honor of the family because of its support for the school's animal care program.

The Leicester campus is undergoing other improvements, including a new residence hall and a synthetic turf athletic field.
