Pack a lot of business cards for the free 495/MetroWest Business Expo, on May 27 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel on Route 9.
The all-day event is put on by five chambers, with the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce in Framingham, doing the bulk of the planning and organizing.
The speakers will start at 10 a.m. followed by a panel discussion about renewable energy at 11 a.m.
The seminars will begin at noon. There are two separate tracks focused on the business buzz word du jour, "green." One track is devoted to public green practices and a second is on green business practices. At 2:30 p.m. there will be a panel discussion about green jobs. There is also track devoted to small business concerns.
There are dozens of local businesses that man booths from noon to 6 p.m. and the "Mega Networking" event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. ends the day.
"It's a good opportunity to network with a much broader group of individuals. There will be a lot of good food and good conversation at the networking event," said Ted Welte, president and CEO of the MetroWest chamber.
