Framingham-based GlassHouse Technologies, an information technology consulting agency, announced Monday it has acquired Swiss-based information management consultant vcare Infosystems.
The deal will allow Glasshouse Technologies to expand its storage and backup services, and will extend the company’s offerings to email and document archiving.
Glasshouse, already an international company with customers in the United States, England and the Middle East, is expanding its footprint into mainland Europe with the deal.
The purchase will also expand GlassHouse’s employee base to more than 550 internationally. The vcare Infosystems management team in Zurich will remain in place.
Financials of the deal were not released.
