Amid a climate of increasing uncertainty in the future of energy both locally and internationally, Framingham’s IDC Energy Insights has hired industry veteran Kevin Prouty as vice president of research, the company announced Tuesday.
Prouty brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the utilities and manufacturing industries, according to IDC. Before joining IDC Energy Insights, Prouty was senior vice president of research at Aberdeen Group and spent more than five years as senior director of manufacturing and energy solutions at Motorola. Prior to Motorola, he was research director for Manufacturing and Automotive at AMR Research and Gartner.
In his new role, Prouty will be responsible for managing a group of analysts who provide research-based advising and consulting services aimed at informing energy executives in oil and gas and utilities.
IDC is an insight company that provides fact-based research and consulting services.
