A former TJX executive has been elected to The Hanover Insurance Group’s board of directors.
Kathleen Lane, a 30-plus-year IT professional, will join the Worcester insurance company’s board.
Most recently, Lane served as executive vice president and chief information officer at Framingham-based retailer TJX Cos. Before that, she was group chief information officer at National Grid.
She’s held similar roles at Gillette, GE Oil & Gas and GE Vendor Financial Services. Lane also previously worked for PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble Co.
"Kathleen is a seasoned technology leader with broad and impressive experience working with successful public companies," said Kevin Condron, chairman of The Hanover’s board of directors at The Hanover. "She brings a vast knowledge of the opportunities and challenges facing businesses today. We are very pleased to have Kathleen join our board."
Lane’s election to the board comes about four months after longtime chairman Michael Angelini retired.
