Fallon Health Plan Reverses Loss
Worcester-based Fallon Community Health Plan reported net income of $1.2 million for the second quarter of the year, a mirror image of the $1.2 million net loss it reported for same quarter last year.
FCHP increased its revenue to $250 million from $230 million in Q2 2007.
The Q2 2008 net income includes investment income of $4 million and an operating loss of $2.8 million. The health plan's membership increased 10 percent, to 208,479 over the past year.
FCHP has also expanded geographically, west to the New York border and east and north into MetroWest, Middlesex County, the Merrimack Valley and the North Shore.
