Diligent Technologies Corp., a data protection firm based in Framingham, announced that Czech Republic-based SKODA Auto has deployed Diligent software at its data centers.
SKODA, an automotive manufacturer and unit of Volkswagen, will use Diligent’s ProtecTIER Data Protection Platform to provide data backup and recovery services. The automaker had been experiencing a 70 percent failure rate of its backups, and recovery time for an individual file was taking a minimum of four hours. The switch to Diligent has helped to cut down on recovery time and reduce capacity requirements of backup disks.
In incorporating the software, Diligent worked with SIT, a reseller partner located in the Czech Republic.
