Investment management firm Cutler Capital Management of Worcester has promoted a 13-year veteran employee as its president, the company announced.
Geoffrey K. Dancey of Sudbury, who most recently served as both research director and portfolio manager, has been named president and managing partner. He joined Cutler in 2002 as a financial analyst.
Cutler’s clients include high net-worth investors, corporations, endowments, family offices and charitable foundations. The firm manages $350 million in assets.
Dancey holds both bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Clark University.
“Geoff has helped Cutler Capital grow into a firm with efficient research and investment selection, and portfolio management practices designed to support our clients’ efforts to achieve their financial goals,” founder and Chief Investment Officer Melvin S. Cutler said in a statement. “Since Geoff joined the firm, Cutler’s assets under management have nearly quadrupled.”
