After a steady plunge to around $2 a gallon, gasoline prices in Central Massachusetts have risen nearly 17 cents to an average of $2.25, according to GasBuddy.
The web site said prices in Worcester rose 5.7 cents last week, according to its daily survey of 263 gas outlets. The average price is just four cents below the national average, which also increased, by 4.7 cents, in the last week.
Still, the latest average price in the Worcester area is $1.23 lower than what it was a year ago, GasBuddy said.
