Cronin and Co. to be sold in management buyout

Glastonbury-based Cronin and Co. announced today that the 60-year-old marketing communications firm will be sold internally to Steve Wolfberg, currently Cronin's chief creative officer, and Kim Manning, the agency's director of strategic planning, on March 31.

Wolfberg will become partner and president of Cronin and Company LLC, retaining his title of chief creative officer. Manning will be the company's new partner and chief operating officer.

"The potential here is amazing," Wolfberg said in a statement. "We are poised for greatness - to become a true regional and national force.  More than half of our accounts are national brands. Our Connecticut-based accounts are market leaders. We used to be known as a local agency that did national-caliber work.  Now we're a national brand agency that happens to be located in a quaint Connecticut suburb."
