A committee of state senators is beginning to piece together a resolution that spells out the findings of its investigation into Woodbury Sen. Louis DeLuca.
DeLuca pleaded guilty last summer to a misdemeanor threatening charge.
The six senators have until Nov. 11 to decide whether to recommend that the full Senate expel, censure, reprimand or take no action against DeLuca, the former Senate Minority Leader.
There are already hints that the panel has problems with DeLuca’s conduct. Sen. Andrew Roraback, the panel’s Republican co-chairman, says DeLuca’s actions have implications for the entire Senate, not just his family.
DeLuca admits he asked a trash hauler with alleged mob ties to threaten his granddaughter’s husband because he believed the man was abusing her.
