The Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton has introduced its own “stimulus package” to the town’s economy.
The museum said its members can now get a 10 percent discount at 14 businesses in Clinton simply by presenting their museum membership cards. The businesses are mostly cafes and restaurants with a couple of service businesses mixed in.
Membership at the museum has increased significantly since last summer and the new discount arrangement is aimed at boosting membership further and driving business to local establishments.
Nypro Inc. Chairman Gordon B. Lankton founded the museum, which includes more than 350 Russian icons, one of the largest collections outside Russia.
